That classic onsen taste
The only manju shop in Sawatari
Nakaya is the only family-run manju shop in Sawatari. Onsen manju are brown-sugar-coated buns with homemade Hokkaido sweet bean paste inside. They are 70 yen each. The ever popular kibidaifuku (rice and millet cakes stuffed with sweet bean paste) are 130 each. They also sell mixed rice and millet cakes in winter.
They will box up however many you want. The shop is open from 8AM to 5:30PM, but they sell out quickly, so be careful not to miss out. Most Sawatari inns have standing orders for these manju.
